Summer is Ending...

Well, our family has had an eventful summer. We got moved to Dimmitt in mid July. We are still settling into our house and searching for lost things in boxes, but we are here. Jackson is growing like a weed and has 6 teeth now... He is quite the Mr. Personality! He does something new everyday and can always make his Mommy smile. Here are some pics of our big boy!!

Summer '09

Seems like the summer has really flown by. I have taken some pictures of Mr. Jackson while visiting my mom in Lubbock, traveling in the car and just some hanging out around the house. He is quite the big boy now. He is wearing 18 month clothes now and has 4 teeth... AMAZING how fast he is growing and changing... He's such a cutie and loves his mommy and daddy!

Curious Oscar....

I was having to multi task, which isn't all that unusual these days... I put Jackson on his Bumbo on the toilet so I could blow dry my hair... Instead of paying close attention to my task at hand... I found myself laughing at this little boy!! He unrolled about half of the roll... Just look at that face....

Mommy and the cutest cowboy EVER!!
A picture with my 2 FaVoRiTe cowboys!!

Helping dad pick a winner!
This past weekend we ventured to OK City with G.G., Papa John, Aunt Ashleigh and Saylor. We had quite an adventure navigating the city and locating our hotel... but Mommy and Daddy managed to keep laughing about trying to find our hotel!
I believe you have officially thrown in the towel when you call the hotel and ask how to get there, but don't really have a clue where you are!! I had my first visit to Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and Grill. It was yummy! Although I wasn't big enough to order calf fries... I did enjoy some yummy green beans.
I (and Mommy and Daddy) had a blast at the horse races. I can't wait until I am old enough to really enjoy seeing the horses! I did help Daddy pick a winner!!

Last night- Everyone was tired in our house. Our 2 kids were sharing a blanket on the floor... both sawing logs and having happy dreams!!

The Plumbing Conclusion

I have to give retract my parenthetical statement in last time's blog about horror music and plumbing. My better half successfully repaired the shower without any cutting through the walls, pulling of any pipes out of the house and without any arguments with yours truly. I have to hand it to him... works like a charm. I had my doubts, I won't lie... we searched in Lowe's for the perfect shower head... (the cheapest one!) and then he tells me... "I am looking for a cap for your deal." I stared in complete, puzzled amazement... can you run that by me again? So, after a scavenger hunt for an article that I still had no clue what it was... we left with a disgruntled... "Ahhh forget it...".
CALF ROPE!!
So, I was the one who was going to be the big bad Mommy and make little Jackson sleep in his own bed from now on... How can a 5 month old force ME into a calf rope?? We started out good last night... He was in his bed... we were in our bed... Then at 1:15, my little Booger Bear decided to wake up... Instead of standing by his bed holding a bottle, waiting for him to enter the Land of Nod once again, we put him in bed with us... I spent most of the night removing deliquent elbows, knees and feet from various parts of my body. I found myself clinging to the bed with just inches of mattress under me... Sighing... hoping my little Doodlebug would understand when Mommy sighs... it means scoot over.... HA HA! Colossial joke of the century. So, around 6:30- I relinquished my battle of the bed with my 5 month old and took a shower... I came back after showering and saw the cutest sight ever... Both my boys, little sleepy heads, snoozing away... I just kept thinking to myself, "I have to be the luckiest woman alive!"

Random Pics

Sitting with Daddy on Easter Sunday...
In my Easter clothes- ready for church...

He sleeps just like his Mommy... arms up!

Getting ready to go for my first swim...

I've come to a conclusion...

So it seems my little bundle of joy has exhausted both his dad and I as far as sleeping in our bed! He flopped and flailed and whined and rubbed on me from 11-3:15... Finally I realized I was not going to get ANY sleep, so I got up and rocked him to sleep. I laid him on a fleece blanket on the floor and there he slept... without so much as a twitch until 5:30... hmmmm... I think I am bothering him. I don't think he has enough room and maybe even gets hot... The real trick here is finding time to clean out his bed, which has become somewhat of a catch all for clothes, stuffed animals, blankets and baby shoes. I can forsee that pile simply moving to another location in the nursery... ahhhh well... I LOVE BEING A MOMMY!!
P.S. A pipe in Trey's shower "burst" (according to him) this morning. He told me I had one of two options... The first began with... well, I don't know if I can get in there to see the pipe... so I am assuming there really wasn't a first option... The second... Trey drew an imaginary square on the wall with his finger and said... I can just cut through here and fix it... I know my eyes almost popped out of my head... I said, "Uhhhh should you call your dad first?" Then he says, "I can probably get that done today..."
To be continued.... (horror music playing in the background!)

The Wyatts!

Well, I got this idea from Stephanie Mata (Thanks, Steph!). It seems like a reasonable way for everyone to keep up with us. I hope you enjoy the pictures and information we post.

Let's see... There are 9 and a half days of school left and we are completely excited. I just got back from the Regional Track Meet in Levelland, Texas. Trey and Jackson did fine without Mommy! (sniff, sniff...) I am glad to be home and basically my coaching duties are finished here at Sunray.
